# Tokenomics

$GPS is the settlement and coordination unit of the GoPlus Security Network across both of GoPlus' strategic directions, AI for Security and Security for AI. It is the asset in which security services across the GoPlus ecosystem are metered and settled, the asset that operators and contributors stake to produce those services, and the asset through which the network is governed. As GoPlus expands from Web3 security intelligence into execution security for autonomous systems, $GPS is designed to connect the growth of security-service consumption, by humans and increasingly by machines, to the economics of the network.

This page covers supply, allocation, and unlock schedule. For the full model of how $GPS connects to each product line, see [$GPS: The Security Service Settlement Layer](/goplus-network/usdgps/gps-security-service-economy.md).

## Role of $GPS in the GoPlus Security Network

GoPlus' long-term strategy is to position $GPS as the core settlement unit for security services across its ecosystem. Rather than functioning only as an ecosystem incentive or a traded asset, $GPS is intended to support the consumption of security intelligence, contract analysis, agent-security controls, software supply-chain verification, and other machine-accessible security services.

This model becomes increasingly relevant as AI agents emerge as a new class of software consumer. Autonomous systems can invoke security services programmatically and at high frequency, creating demand that scales with actions, transactions, and software interactions rather than only with human users. By connecting this usage-based security economy to $GPS settlement, GoPlus aims to create a direct relationship between network activity and token utility.

The four functions of $GPS are:

1. **Security-service settlement.** Security services across GoPlus AI Security, SafuSkill, DeepScan, GoPlus Intelligence, the AI Agent Security API, GoPlus Web3 Security, and SafeToken Protocol are metered and settled in $GPS. Enterprise customers that pay in fiat or stablecoins have a defined share of that revenue routed into $GPS-denominated settlement on the network side.
2. **Machine-to-machine consumption.** The AI Agent Security API gives autonomous systems usage-based access to GoPlus security intelligence. GoPlus intends for $GPS to become the core settlement unit for this machine-originated consumption, so that $GPS utility scales with security-service consumption rather than relying solely on secondary-market activity.
3. **Network participation and incentives.** Security Compute Layer operators, data contributors, and third-party security service providers stake $GPS to participate and are rewarded in $GPS from the settlement generated by the services they produce.
4. **Governance.** $GPS holders stake to obtain voting weight over the parameters of the security service economy.

## Token Launch

$GPS launched through GoPlus' token generation event on **January 16, 2025**. The introduction of $GPS marks the transformation of GoPlus from a security provider into a decentralized security network where everyone can contribute to and benefit from open security. We envision a future where security is open, permissionless, transparent, and consumed by humans and machines alike, and where the value of that consumption flows back to the network that produces it.

With a proven track record since 2020, GoPlus has established itself as a crucial security infrastructure provider for Web3. Every day, GoPlus processes tens of millions of security detection requests, actively combats emerging scams and threats across more than **50 blockchains**, and protects **billions** in user assets. Our security intelligence has been integrated by leading platforms including major price websites, DEXs, exchanges, and wallets, with over **10,000+** projects and developers relying on our services. Following the transition of the Token Security Service to a paid model at the end of 2025, this usage increasingly reflects commercial consumption by exchanges, trading terminals, wallets, and, through the AI Agent Security API, autonomous systems.

**2. Staking Ecosystem**

Ecosystem contributors stake $GPS to become security data providers, Security Compute Layer operators, third-party security service providers, or governance participants, and earn $GPS rewards for verified contributions. Rewards are funded from the settlement generated by security-service consumption.

**3. Network Incentives and Secure Trading**

As GoPlus expands transaction protection, secure trading, and agent-driven trading services, $GPS is used to align incentives among users, security service providers, liquidity partners, and ecosystem contributors.

## Market Access

$GPS began trading on **January 16, 2025**, with initial market access through centralized exchanges and Web3 trading venues. Early exchange support included **KuCoin**, **Bitget**, **MEXC**, **Bybit**, **Gate**, **CoinW**, and other trading platforms. Binance listed $GPS on **March 4, 2025** through its HODLer Airdrops program, opening spot trading pairs including GPS/USDT, GPS/USDC, GPS/BNB, GPS/FDUSD, and GPS/TRY.

Market access has continued to expand across major centralized exchanges, including Binance, OKX, Bithumb, KuCoin, Bybit, Gate, MEXC, Bitget, BingX, Aster, and others. Market data is tracked by major crypto data platforms including CoinMarketCap. Broad market access matters to the security service economy because it lowers the friction for users, developers, operators, and autonomous systems to acquire the $GPS they need to consume or produce security services.

## Conclusion

The January 16, 2025 launch of $GPS marked a new era for GoPlus Security. As GoPlus expands from Web3 security into execution security for AI agents and autonomous systems, $GPS is designed to be the unit in which that security is consumed, the asset that secures the network producing it, and the instrument through which the network is governed.
